ZEAL is looking for Black visual artists to participate in our Artist Cohort Studio Program, running from October 15th to December 20th, 2021.
The ideal candidates are emerging Black visual artists and/or chefs based in Los Angeles, who are committed to evolving the Black aesthetic and upholding our cultural equity. These artists are community orientated and value collaboration. The chosen artists will be in conversation with a network of Black arts professionals and artists curated by ZEAL throughout the program. The ideal candidates embody the ZEAL values of love, grace, joy and abundance.
The participating artists will receive the following throughout the program:
Fully furnished 360 sq. ft. shared studio (one day out of the week includes private use of 205 sq.ft private studio room).
Access to photography equipment, project and canvas.
Biweekly check in meetings with ZEAL Principal Members.
Professional consultation with the ZEAL Advisory Board.
Ability to explore their creative practice & merchandising.

The participating artists will receive the following throughout the program:
Attend at least 2 Inglewood Arts Council Meetings.
Provide at least 1 artist community arts workshops with a local Black owned community space.
Host one open studio in October and one in December.
Pay a monthly fee of $425 on the 1st of every month for the co-working studio space and services provided.
